Yes, this plate is dishwasher safe. However, because of the delicate gold band, we recommend using a gentle cycle and a mild detergent to maintain the finish over time.

It is perfectly suitable for both. While it is marketed as a luncheon or salad plate, the fine bone china construction is durable enough to handle warm entrees or desserts without issue.

The raised enamel dots add a subtle, tactile dimension to the plate's surface. You will feel a slight texture when running your fingers over the design, which provides a nice contrast to the smooth, polished bone china.

Noritake uses high-quality materials, but gold accents are always the most sensitive part of fine china. To keep the band looking pristine, avoid using abrasive scouring pads and try to avoid stacking them directly on top of each other without a protective cloth or plate divider.
