Logee's Powder Puff Plant

This plant requires full sun to thrive and produce its signature flowers. Aim for at least six to eight hours of direct sunlight daily, especially if you are growing it indoors near a bright, south-facing window.

Only if you live in USDA Hardiness Zone 10 or higher. Because it requires a minimum temperature of 50°F, you will need to bring it indoors or into a greenhouse during cooler months if you live in a climate with frost or chilly nights.

You should wait until the plant has acclimated to your home environment for a few weeks. Once you see roots growing out of the drainage holes or the plant begins to grow rapidly, move it to a container one size larger—typically a 4-inch pot—using a well-draining potting mix.

When grown in a container, you can expect it to reach a mature height of 1.5 to 3 feet. Its sprawling, dense growth habit makes it ideal for pots, but you can prune it occasionally if you want to maintain a more compact shape.

While it is described as ever-blooming, the flowering is technically intermittent. With the right amount of light and consistent care, you will see waves of pink flowers regularly, rather than one single, short-lived bloom season.
