Logee's Bougainvillea

The primary difference is the bloom structure and longevity. The double blooms feature extra layers of petals that hold onto the plant much longer than single varieties, giving you a more consistent, extended display of color.

This variety is actually excellent for containers. Because it stays relatively compact at 2-4 feet, it thrives in hanging baskets or pots, allowing you to easily move it indoors if temperatures drop below 50°F.

Bougainvillea are sun-worshippers. To achieve that near-constant blooming cycle, you must provide full sun, which means at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight daily.

Only if you treat it as a seasonal plant or bring it indoors. It is hardy outdoors only in zones 9-10; if you live in a colder region, you will need to move the plant inside once temperatures approach 50°F.

It is versatile. You can let it trail naturally in a hanging basket, or use a trellis or stake to train it into a more upright, vining shape. It adapts well to whatever structure you provide.
