Yes, at 300 pounds, this cast stone planter is exceptionally stable. Its significant weight makes it an excellent choice for exposed patios, entryways, or windy rooftop gardens where lighter pots might tip over.

While it is designed primarily for outdoor use, you can use it indoors if you place it on a surface capable of supporting its 300-pound weight. You will also need to use a saucer or tray underneath to catch water, as the integrated drainage hole cannot be plugged.

Cast stone is incredibly durable and requires very little upkeep. Over time, the concrete may develop a natural patina or moss, which many people find adds to its character, but you can simply wash it with mild soap and water if you prefer to keep it looking pristine.

The planter comes with a centered, two-inch drainage hole already drilled. To ensure optimal root health, we recommend placing a layer of landscape fabric or a mesh screen over the hole before adding your potting mix to prevent soil from washing out while allowing excess water to escape freely.
