Cast stone is incredibly durable and designed to withstand the elements, but it will naturally develop a patina over time as it weathers. You can gently clean it with a soft brush and water if you prefer to remove debris, but avoid harsh chemical cleaners or pressure washers, which can damage the finish.

Given that the fountain weighs 1,245 pounds, assembly is a significant undertaking that requires multiple people and potentially mechanical assistance. The pieces are heavy and must be leveled carefully on a solid, flat surface to ensure the water flows evenly across all three tiers.

In freezing climates, you should drain the fountain completely and cover it or store it indoors during the winter months. Water expanding as it freezes can cause cracks in cast stone, so it is safer to keep the basin dry when temperatures drop below freezing.
