Vista Alegre Maya Vase

Biscuit porcelain is unglazed, fired porcelain that has a matte, velvety finish rather than a glossy one. It feels smooth yet slightly porous, which gives the Maya Vase its distinct, tactile quality and allows the 3D texture to stand out without the reflection of a glaze.

Because the exterior is unglazed biscuit porcelain, it is primarily designed as a decorative object. While it can hold water, we recommend using a liner or being mindful of potential moisture absorption on the exterior surface over time.

To clean the vase, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. If necessary, you can use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap, but avoid abrasive scrubbers that could catch on the textured details.

The Maya Vase is highly versatile due to its clean, cylindrical shape and futuristic texture. It works exceptionally well in minimalist, contemporary, or Scandinavian-inspired spaces, but its sculptural form also makes it a striking accent piece in more eclectic or traditional rooms.

The design is inspired by the silhouette of iconic glass goblets, reinterpreted through a modern lens. The focus is on the interplay between light and shadow created by its textured surface, which earned it an honorable mention from the European Product Design Award.
