This is a call lure, not a food lure. Applying it directly to the trap can cause the animal to become overly cautious or start digging at the set, which often leads to missed catches. It is designed to pull them into the general area so they can then locate your primary bait or lure.

Not at all. In fact, skunk musk is a natural scent in the wild that predators like fox and coyote are accustomed to. Because it is a powerful, familiar odor, it acts as a curiosity trigger rather than a deterrent, even in areas with high skunk activity.

For the best results, place it a few feet away from your set, ideally on a nearby bush, post, or rock. This creates a scent trail that leads the animal toward your trap site without them pinpointing the source of the call lure immediately.

While it is specifically formulated with civet and skunk musk to target the curiosity of fox and coyote, other predators may be attracted to it as well. However, it is optimized for the specific scent profiles that fox and coyote respond to most consistently.

Because this is a high-potency call lure, you only need a very small amount—usually just a few drops—per set. A 1 oz bottle is sufficient for a full trapping season if you are careful not to over-apply.
