Given its substantial size and concrete construction, this piece is quite heavy. It is best to determine its final placement before filling it with soil and plants, as moving it once planted will require multiple people.

This planter does not come with pre-drilled drainage holes. If you plan to plant directly into the vessel, you may want to drill holes in the base or use a layer of gravel at the bottom to assist with drainage, though using a liner or nursery pot inside is often the safest approach for indoor use.
