The divider is designed to accommodate most standard-sized apples. If you are working with exceptionally large or oversized varieties, you may need to center the fruit carefully to ensure the core aligns properly with the blades.

While the stainless steel is durable and resistant to corrosion, it is best to hand wash and dry the tool immediately after use. Avoid leaving it submerged in water for extended periods to maintain the integrity of the blades.

The amount of pressure needed depends on the firmness of the apple. Because the blades are sharp, a steady, firm downward motion is usually sufficient to slice through the fruit cleanly.

While many stainless steel kitchen tools are dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing this divider. High-heat dishwasher cycles and harsh detergents can dull the sharp edges of the blades over time.

This tool is specifically engineered for the size and core structure of apples. It may not be effective or safe to use on harder fruits like pears or stone fruits, which have different core shapes and densities.
