Maintenance is straightforward. Simply shake the mat off vigorously to remove trapped dirt and debris. Because of the natural coir material, avoid using a vacuum or harsh chemicals.

Coir is a natural fiber derived from coconut husks, so some initial shedding is normal and expected with new mats. This will decrease over time as the fibers settle.

The heavy-duty construction provides a good amount of weight to help it stay put. However, if you are placing it on a slick surface like polished concrete or tile, you may want to use a non-slip rug pad underneath for extra stability.
