The lamp is designed primarily for ambient lighting rather than task lighting. Because it includes a diffuser under the shade, the light output is soft and diffused, which is perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere in a living room or bedroom but may be too dim for focused reading.

Like all natural stone, the white marble base is porous and can absorb liquids if spills are not wiped up immediately. We recommend using a coaster if you plan to place drinks nearby and cleaning the base only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain its finish.

The piano white finish is smooth and durable, making it easy to maintain. Simply wipe the spiraling wooden body with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth to remove dust, followed by a dry cloth to prevent water spots.

The lamp is designed to work as a cohesive piece with its specific shade and diffuser, which ensures the light is correctly softened. While you could technically swap the shade, doing so may alter the intended aesthetic and the quality of the light output.

The lamp is quite stable. The white marble base provides significant weight at the bottom, which anchors the spiraling wooden body and prevents it from tipping easily during normal use.
