This variety is quite hardy and thrives in USDA zones 5 through 9. As long as you are planting within these zones, it should handle winter conditions well while keeping its evergreen foliage.

For optimal density and vibrant color, this shrub prefers full sun. While it can tolerate some variation, planting it in a spot that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight daily will ensure it keeps that signature tight, rounded shape.
