While the jug is crafted from ceramic, the sandy, tactile finish is primarily decorative. We recommend using it as a dry vessel for branches or dried florals rather than filling it with water for fresh arrangements.

The charcoal black finish has a matte, sandy quality that feels slightly coarse to the touch. It provides a nice contrast to smoother surfaces like glass or polished wood.

The Amphora Jug is designed for indoor use. Exposure to harsh weather conditions or direct sunlight may affect the integrity of the ceramic and the finish over time.

Because of the textured, matte finish, we recommend dusting it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh cleaning chemicals, as these can damage the surface.

The pinched spout is a design feature that adds character, but it does narrow the opening slightly. It works best with single stems, wispy branches, or smaller, curated floral arrangements rather than large, for example, a large, dense bouquet.
