The oyster shell pattern is hand-painted directly onto the surface of the acacia wood. Because it is an artistic finish, it is designed to be a decorative focal point while remaining functional for serving dry snacks and appetizers.

While the tray is durable, it is best suited for dry snacks, crackers, or charcuterie items. If you do serve dips, we recommend using small bowls or ramekins on top of the tray to protect the painted finish and the wood surface.

To keep the tray in good condition, hand wash it with mild soap and warm water, then dry it immediately with a soft cloth. Avoid soaking it in water or putting it in the dishwasher, as this can cause the wood to warp or the painted design to fade.

A 12-inch tray is ideal for intimate gatherings or as a secondary serving piece for specific appetizers. It comfortably holds a curated selection of cheeses, crackers, or fruit, but it may be too small for a large-scale board meant to feed a crowd.

Like most acacia wood serving pieces, you can occasionally apply a food-safe mineral oil to the wood areas to maintain its luster and prevent drying. Be careful to avoid applying oil directly over the hand-painted oyster shell design to preserve the artwork.
