Caribou Seed Company Easy Wave Petunia

Petunia seeds are naturally tiny and difficult to handle. We provide them in a pelleted form—coated in a clay-like material—to make them larger and easier to see, which allows you to space them precisely in your seed trays or pots.

Because Easy Wave Petunias have a vigorous 36-inch spread, one or two plants are usually sufficient for a standard 12-inch hanging basket. Overcrowding can limit airflow and lead to disease, so give them room to trail.

These are annuals, meaning they complete their entire life cycle in one growing season. They will bloom prolifically throughout the summer but will not survive the winter frosts to return the following year.

One of the best features of the Easy Wave series is that they are largely self-cleaning. While you can remove spent blooms to tidy up the appearance, the plants will continue to flower vigorously without constant deadheading.

While they are excellent in containers and hanging baskets, they perform beautifully in garden beds as well. Their trailing habit makes them a great choice for ground cover or softening the edges of raised garden beds.
