For safety and stability, we strongly recommend mounting this shelf directly into wall studs. Because floating shelves bear weight differently than bracketed shelves, proper anchoring into structural supports is necessary to prevent sagging or pulling away from the wall.

The wood selection ranges from the rustic, knotty character of Ponderosa Pine and Knotty Alder to the refined, tight grain of Grand Mahogany and Walnut. If you prefer a lighter, neutral look, White Oak is an excellent choice, while Sapele Mahogany offers a rich, reddish-brown tone.

The sealant is optional, but highly recommended if you plan to use the shelf for kitchen essentials, barware, or in areas prone to humidity. It provides a protective barrier that makes the surface easier to clean and significantly more resistant to stains and wear over time.
