Basalt is highly durable and weather-resistant, but you must drain the water system before the first freeze. If water freezes inside the plumbing or the stone's core, it can cause cracking or damage to the internal components.

The exterior features a rugged, natural finish consistent with raw basalt. It is not polished or smoothed, which helps it blend more naturally into garden landscapes and rockeries.
