Webb's Water Gardens Canna Chiquita Punch

As a shallow water plant, this variety prefers to be placed in water depths ranging from 0 to 6 inches. Ensure the crown of the plant is submerged but not buried too deeply to allow for proper growth.

The 'Chiquita Punch' is hardy in zones 6 through 9. If you live in a colder climate, you will need to lift the rhizomes in the fall and store them in a cool, frost-free location over the winter before replanting in the spring.

While it thrives in full sun, which encourages the most vibrant orange and yellow blooms, it will also perform well in partial shade. Expect slightly fewer blooms if the plant is kept in a heavily shaded area.

Immediately place the plant in a container of water and keep it in a shaded area for a few days. This helps the plant recover from shipping stress and acclimate to its new environment before you move it to its permanent spot in your pond.
