Focal Kanta No.2

Beryllium is an incredibly rigid and lightweight material that allows the tweeter to reproduce high frequencies with exceptional speed and precision. This results in a distortion-free sound that is highly detailed without becoming harsh or fatiguing during long listening sessions.

Flax is a natural fiber that offers an excellent balance of rigidity and internal damping. By using these cones, the Kanta No.2 achieves a very natural, uncolored midrange and tight, controlled bass that avoids the artificial resonance often found in synthetic materials.

They are highly versatile and perform beautifully in both roles. While they are designed with the precision required for critical Hi-Fi music listening, their wide soundstage and dynamic range make them an excellent choice for the front channels of a high-end home theater system.

The Kanta No.2 uses a high-density polymer front baffle paired with a molded wood cabinet. This combination is specifically engineered to minimize vibration and diffraction, ensuring the sound you hear is clean and accurate rather than colored by the speaker's own enclosure.

With an 8-ohm impedance, these speakers are relatively easy to drive compared to many high-end floor-standers. However, to fully realize their potential for dynamics and bass control, pairing them with a high-quality amplifier that can deliver clean power is recommended.

These speakers are designed for medium-to-large listening rooms. Their frequency response reaches down to 35Hz, providing enough scale to fill larger spaces without needing a subwoofer, though they remain articulate enough to avoid overwhelming smaller, treated rooms.
