Beryllium is an incredibly lightweight and rigid material that allows the tweeter to reproduce high frequencies with significantly less distortion than traditional metal or silk domes. This results in a more detailed, open, and transparent sound, particularly in the upper registers.

The C426Be is quite substantial, measuring 38.6 inches wide, 10.4 inches high, and 14 inches deep. Because it weighs 61 pounds, you should ensure your furniture is rated to support that weight and has enough clearance to accommodate its width.

The DCC cones are designed to be extremely stiff and lightweight, which pushes the speaker's 'breakup modes'—the point where the cone starts to distort—well outside the audible range. This ensures that the midrange and bass stay clean and precise, even when you are listening at higher volumes.

With a sensitivity of 90 dB and an 8-ohm impedance, the C426Be is relatively efficient and should be compatible with most quality home theater receivers. However, to get the most out of its dynamic range and clarity, pairing it with a dedicated amplifier is recommended.

As a center channel, it performs best when placed directly above or below your screen, ideally angled toward the listener's ear level. Because it is a bass-reflex design, try to keep it away from the back wall if possible to prevent the low-end from becoming muddy.

While it will technically work, it is best to pair this speaker with other Revel models, particularly those in the PerformaBe series. Matching the driver materials and voicing across your front soundstage ensures a seamless, cohesive audio experience as sound pans across the room.
