This board is not dishwasher safe, as high heat and water can warp the wood. Hand wash it with mild soap and warm water, then dry it immediately. To maintain the finish, apply a food-safe mineral oil or wood conditioner periodically to prevent the oak from drying out.

The scooped side is best suited for serving appetizers, holding chopped herbs, or displaying fruit. It provides a shallow, rustic vessel rather than a deep bowl, so it is ideal for presentation rather than mixing large batches of ingredients.

The organic oil finish is standard for high-quality wooden boards. Over time, the wood may look slightly duller with regular use and washing, which is normal. Simply re-oil the board whenever the wood begins to look dry or loses its luster.

Because it is crafted from solid oak, the board has a substantial weight that helps keep it in place during light tasks. However, if you find it shifting, placing a damp paper towel or a silicone mat underneath will provide extra grip.
