This kit includes all the necessary ingredients—wine base, yeast, bentonite, sulphite/sorbate, and fining agents—to create the wine. However, you will need your own fermentation equipment, such as a primary fermenter, carboy, airlock, and siphon, which are not included in this ingredient set.

This blend features a classic Bordeaux composition of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc. You can expect a heavy-bodied red wine with the structured tannins typical of Cabernet Sauvignon balanced by the softer, fruit-forward notes of Merlot.

Yes, the four-week process is designed to be efficient while still allowing for proper fermentation and clarification. While the wine will be ready to drink at the four-week mark, like most red wines, it will continue to improve and mellow if you allow it to age in the bottle for a few additional months.

Once the fermentation process is complete, this kit produces a wine with an ABV of 13.5%. This is a standard strength for a full-bodied red blend.

This kit is formulated to yield 16 liters of finished wine. Depending on the size of your wine bottles, this typically results in approximately 20 to 22 standard 750ml bottles.
