This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. Placing it near a sunny window is ideal, but avoid harsh, direct sun, which can scorch the delicate variegated leaves.

As a succulent, it prefers to dry out completely between waterings. Check the soil every week or two; if it feels dry to the touch, give it a thorough watering, but ensure the pot has proper drainage to prevent root rot.

While the String of Hearts is generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, it is always best to keep all houseplants out of reach of curious pets to prevent accidental ingestion or damage to the plant.

The plant arrives in a standard four-inch nursery pot. While it is ready for immediate display on a shelf, you will need to purchase a separate hanging planter or macramé hanger if you intend to display it as a trailing plant.

Variegation is light-dependent. If your plant starts producing mostly green leaves, it is likely not receiving enough bright, indirect light, causing the plant to prioritize chlorophyll production over variegation.
