The included orange stakes are durable, but they are designed for standard soil conditions. If you are hunting in frozen or extremely hard-packed ground, you will likely need to use an auger or a pilot hole tool to ensure the stakes can be placed securely without damaging the mounting system.

Unlike static decoys, this proprietary system allows the decoys to pivot and sway with the wind, mimicking the natural feeding and resting movements of live black ducks. This added motion is crucial for breaking up the static appearance that can spook wary birds.

The patent-pending loop kits are designed to provide extra versatility in how the decoys sit and move, but they are optional. You can set up the decoys directly on the stakes for a simpler, more traditional presentation if you prefer.
