Coyuchi Cascade Matelasse Blanket

Matelassé is a weaving technique designed to mimic the look of hand-stitched quilting. It creates a raised, textured pattern on the fabric without needing actual padding, resulting in a blanket that is dimensional and lofty but still lightweight.

This blanket is designed for year-round versatility rather than heavy warmth. Because it is light and lofty, it works best as a layering piece—use it on its own during warmer months or layer it under a duvet or quilt when temperatures drop.

Stonewashing is a finishing process that softens the organic cotton fibers before the blanket reaches you. It gives the fabric a relaxed, slightly rumpled appearance and a plush, broken-in hand-feel right out of the package.

It is machine washable, which makes maintenance simple. We recommend washing on a cold, gentle cycle and tumble drying on low heat to preserve the integrity of the organic cotton fibers and the texture of the weave.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification ensures that the cotton is grown without harmful pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. It also verifies that the entire manufacturing process meets strict environmental and social criteria, from the field to the finished product.
