Goodwood Teak Bowl

While teak is a durable hardwood, these bowls are best suited for room-temperature or cold foods like salads, fruit, or snacks. We do not recommend using them for hot liquids or piping-hot dishes, as extreme heat can cause the natural wood to warp or crack over time.

Because these are vintage wood pieces, they are not dishwasher safe. Hand wash them gently with mild soap and warm water, then dry immediately with a soft cloth. To keep the teak looking rich and prevent it from drying out, apply a food-safe mineral oil or wood conditioner every few months.

It is best to avoid prolonged contact with highly acidic foods. While the teak is polished and sealed, acidic ingredients can eventually break down the wood's finish or stain the grain. If you do use them for a salad with dressing, simply wipe the bowl clean immediately after serving.

These pieces have been preserved in excellent, unused condition. Because they are hand-carved from natural teak, you may notice unique variations in the wood grain and color, which is a hallmark of authentic 1980s Thai craftsmanship rather than a defect.

The individual bowls measure 6 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches in height. They are perfectly sized for side salads, snacks, or small portions, but they may be a bit shallow for a hearty main-course soup or a large pasta dish.
