The bird bath consists of two pieces—the basin and the pedestal—that connect via a threaded twist-and-lock system. You simply align the basin with the pedestal and rotate it until it clicks into a secure, stable position.

While the ceramic is weather-resistant, it is not frost-resistant. You should bring the basin and pedestal indoors or into a shed during freezing temperatures to prevent the ceramic from cracking due to ice expansion.

The bird bath weighs 27 lbs, which provides a solid, stable base for most garden environments. However, if you live in an area with exceptionally high winds, you may want to place it in a sheltered spot or on a level, paved surface for extra security.

To keep the water fresh and safe for birds, you should rinse and scrub the basin with a mild soap and water solution every few days, or whenever you notice algae buildup or debris. The removable basin design makes this process straightforward.

The basin features a glazed finish for aesthetic appeal and easy cleaning, but it includes specifically designed perching spots along the lip. These allow birds to land and grip securely while they bathe or drink.
