This lockring uses the standard 1.29" x 24tpi left-hand thread, which is the industry standard for the vast majority of track hubs. As long as your hub is designed for a standard fixed-gear cog and lockring, this will be compatible.

Fixed-gear drivetrains require a left-hand threaded lockring to prevent the cog from unscrewing while you pedal or apply back-pressure. As you pedal forward, the natural forces act to tighten the lockring against the cog rather than loosen it.

While aluminum lockrings are lighter, chromoly steel is significantly more durable and resistant to stripping. If you ride aggressively, skid frequently, or put high torque on your drivetrain, the extra strength of chromoly provides much better security against the lockring backing off.
