This product is preservative-free and minimally processed, which helps retain more of the natural nutrients found in fish bone. Unlike steamed bone meal, which is often highly processed, this organic alternative offers a more direct, bioavailable source of phosphorus and calcium for your plants.

It is excellent for both. While it is specifically formulated to support budding and blooming, the phosphorus and calcium boost is highly beneficial for fruiting vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, and squash, helping them develop stronger roots and more robust yields.

While this is an organic product, it is made from fish bone, which can be attractive to dogs and other pets who may try to dig it up. We recommend working the fertilizer thoroughly into the soil and covering it with mulch or soil to discourage pets from investigating.

For bulbs, the best time to apply is at the time of planting to encourage root development. For established shrubs and perennials, apply it in early spring as new growth begins to support the upcoming flowering season.
