While the shelf is crafted from solid pine, it is designed primarily for decorative display rather than heavy storage. We recommend keeping the total weight of items on the shelf under 10-15 pounds to ensure it remains secure on your wall.

The shelf arrives with the necessary mounting hardware, but because wall types vary significantly, you may need to source specific anchors or screws appropriate for your wall material, such as drywall, plaster, or masonry.

The shelf measures 6.5 inches in total depth. Keep in mind that the decorative back brace and the carved front edge take up a small portion of that space, so the flat surface area for placing objects is approximately 5 to 5.5 inches deep.

The Stanway Wall Shelf features a hand-finished look that highlights the natural grain of the solid pine. It is sealed to protect the wood, but it maintains an artisanal, matte appearance rather than a high-gloss lacquer.

While the solid pine construction is durable, we advise against installing it in high-humidity areas like bathrooms where direct steam or water exposure could cause the wood to warp or the finish to degrade over time.
