Maison Empire Lampshade

This shade is specifically designed for petite, portable lighting fixtures. With a bottom diameter of 4 inches and a top diameter of 2 inches, it is best suited for small accent lamps, bedside lights, or desk lamps rather than full-sized table lamps.

Because it is a natural material, the seagrass will gradually develop a unique patina as it ages. This means the color will shift slightly, adding character and a more weathered, organic look to your space the longer you own it.

The woven seagrass is designed to filter light rather than block it. It creates a warm, diffused glow that is perfect for ambient lighting, though it may not be bright enough for focused task work like detailed reading or sewing.

Due to the natural material, we strongly recommend using only cool-running LED bulbs with this shade. Incandescent bulbs can generate significant heat, which is not suitable for woven seagrass.

The best way to maintain the shade is to gently dust it with a soft, dry cloth or a duster. Avoid using water or chemical cleaners, as moisture can damage the natural fibers and cause them to warp or discolor.
