The Saunum Air 5 uses a patented internal system to mix the cooler air near the floor with the hot air at the ceiling, creating a more uniform temperature throughout the room and making the heat feel much softer and more breathable.

The salt balls in the reservoir are designed to last for a significant amount of time, but they will eventually dissolve as steam passes through them. You will need to periodically check the reservoir and replace the salt balls once they have diminished in size to maintain the wellness benefits.

This unit is rated for sauna rooms between 106 and 212 cubic feet. If your sauna falls within this range, the 4.95 kW output will provide efficient heating; however, always ensure your room is properly insulated to maintain that heat effectively.

While the Wi-Fi connectivity and mobile app offer the most convenience for scheduling and remote control, the system is designed to be user-friendly. You should check the specific control interface included with your unit, but the app is the primary method for accessing the full range of customization features.

The Saunum Air 5 requires a 240-volt, single-phase electrical connection with a 20.6-amp draw. Because this is a hardwired appliance, you will need a licensed electrician to ensure your installation meets local building codes and safety standards.

A larger stone capacity, like the 130 pounds featured here, acts as a thermal battery. While it may take slightly longer to reach the initial target temperature compared to a heater with fewer stones, it provides much more consistent heat and superior steam production when you toss water.
