While the Power Gravel v2 is optimized for mixed-surface riding, it performs surprisingly well on pavement. The small block tread pattern provides enough efficiency for road sections, though you will notice slightly more rolling resistance compared to a dedicated slick road tire.

These tires are designed as tubeless-ready, which is the recommended setup to take full advantage of the lower pressures and puncture protection. However, they are compatible with inner tubes if you prefer a traditional setup.

The reinforced casing adds a layer of durability that protects against sidewall cuts and punctures, which can make the tire feel slightly stiffer than a lightweight race tire. This trade-off is generally worth it for gravel riding, where reliability on rough terrain is more critical than absolute suppleness.

The 700x35 width is a versatile choice for hardpack and light gravel, offering a good balance of speed and stability. If your local trails are consistently loose, deep, or very rocky, you might find a wider tire provides more float and confidence.

The small block design is engineered primarily for traction on hardpack and mixed terrain rather than deep mud. While it clears debris reasonably well, it is not a dedicated mud tire and may lose grip in very soft, sticky conditions.
