Phelps Game Calls AMP Elk Diaphragm

The AMP Orange uses the lightest latex in the Phelps series, which requires significantly less air pressure to vibrate. This makes it much easier to produce consistent sounds without needing advanced breath control or tongue placement techniques.

While this call is optimized for cow, calf, and immature bull vocalizations, it is not designed to produce the deep, guttural bugles of a mature bull. It is best used for social calls and locating sounds rather than aggressive herd bull challenges.

A single-reed construction offers a higher pitch and a cleaner, sharper sound profile compared to multi-reed calls. It is generally easier to control and less prone to 'locking up' or sticking, which is ideal for those still learning the mechanics of diaphragm calling.

Most users find the standard size fits well, but if the frame feels too large or the latex is hitting the roof of your mouth uncomfortably, you can carefully trim the edges of the tape or latex with sharp scissors. Always trim small amounts at a time to avoid ruining the call.

Latex is sensitive to heat and moisture, so avoid leaving it in your truck or direct sunlight. After use, rinse it with water, let it air dry completely, and store it in a cool, dry case to prevent the latex from stretching or degrading.
