While the arm is built from sturdy metal, it is designed primarily for smaller lighting setups, LED panels, or speedlights. It is best to avoid mounting heavy strobes with large softboxes, as the leverage on a wall mount can put significant stress on the mounting points.

We strongly recommend mounting this arm directly into a wooden wall stud or a concrete wall using appropriate hardware. Mounting it into hollow drywall alone will not provide the stability needed to hold your equipment safely.

Yes, the boom arm is designed to pivot, allowing you to swing the light horizontally to get it out of the way when not in use. However, it does not telescope vertically, so you will need to mount it at your desired height initially.

The included adapter features both 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch threads, which covers the vast majority of standard photography and video lighting equipment. You should be able to attach most lights, microphones, or small accessories without needing additional adapters.
