The ultra-wide design is optimized for averted vision, a technique where you look slightly to the side of an object to engage the more sensitive peripheral rods in your eyes. The expansive field makes it easier to maintain this focus without losing the object.

With 12.5mm of eye relief, you may find it tight if you need to wear eyeglasses while observing. Most users find they need to remove their glasses to see the full 120-degree field, though the eyepiece's diopter adjustment may compensate for some prescriptions.
