At 10.6 inches wide, this is a substantial deck that leans heavily toward transition, bowl, and ramp skating. While you can technically street skate it, its size and deeper concave are optimized for stability and leverage on larger obstacles rather than quick, technical street maneuvers.

The deeper concave creates a more pronounced pocket for your feet, which provides extra leverage when you're snapping the tail. This geometry generally results in a snappier, more responsive pop, especially helpful when you need to get a wider board off the ground quickly.

You will need wide trucks to match this deck's width. Standard trucks designed for 8.0-inch to 8.5-inch boards will be too narrow, causing stability issues and wheel bite; look for trucks in the 169mm or 215mm range to ensure proper setup.

Heroin uses a manufacturing process where the top ply color is randomized, meaning every deck has a unique aesthetic. It doesn't affect the performance or durability of the 7-ply maple construction, but it does mean your board will have a one-of-a-kind look.
