Black Diamond Freeride Baskets

These baskets are designed to fit most Black Diamond ski poles that feature a threaded or press-fit basket system. However, they are not compatible with fixed-basket poles or specific models that require proprietary attachment systems, so it is best to check your pole's specific interface before purchasing.

The 75mm size is optimized for all-mountain versatility rather than deep backcountry powder. While they provide adequate support for variable conditions and groomed runs, they may sink more than a dedicated 100mm+ powder basket in very deep, untracked snow.

Installation is straightforward and typically requires no special tools. Most Black Diamond poles allow you to simply unscrew or pull off the old basket and snap or thread the new Freeride basket into place.

You should choose these if you prioritize agility and reduced swing weight over maximum flotation. The streamlined profile is less likely to catch on obstacles or get tangled in your skis, making them ideal for resort skiing and mixed terrain.
