Orion Padded Case for Newtonian Reflectors

This case is specifically sized for 10-inch Newtonian reflectors with dimensions of 47 inches by 17 inches by 18 inches. We recommend measuring your optical tube assembly (OTA) with any attached accessories to ensure it fits comfortably within these interior dimensions.

While the polyester and nylon blend is water-resistant and will protect your telescope from light moisture or dew, it is not waterproof. It is designed for transport and storage, not for leaving equipment exposed to heavy rain or harsh outdoor conditions.

The interior is fully padded to absorb minor dings, scrapes, and bumps during transport. It is a soft-sided case, so while it offers excellent protection for general handling, it does not provide the crush-proof rigidity of a hard-shell case.

The full-length zipper design makes loading and unloading straightforward. By unzipping the case completely, you can lay the telescope directly into the padded interior rather than trying to slide it in from the end.

The case is primarily designed to fit the optical tube assembly snugly. While there may be small gaps for very slim items, it is not designed to hold bulky accessories like eyepieces or finderscopes, which should be stored separately to avoid scratching the telescope's finish.
