The Salomon District is a great choice for beginners and intermediates alike. Its softer flex profile makes it forgiving enough to learn on, while the responsive Shadow Fit heelcup provides enough control to progress your skills in the park or on groomers.

Unlike rigid heelcups that can feel restrictive, the Shadow Fit design uses a flexible material that wraps around your boot. It creates a more natural, seamless connection that allows for better lateral movement and comfort without sacrificing board control.

While these are designed with park riding in mind, they aren't 'noodle-soft.' The asymmetrical highback provides enough support to handle moderate speeds and carved turns on groomers, though if you primarily ride steep, icy terrain at high speeds, you might prefer a stiffer binding.

The asymmetrical shape is designed to match the natural alignment of your lower leg. It provides extra support on the outside of the binding for stability while allowing for more fluid, unrestricted movement on the inside, which helps with tweaks and presses in the park.

The Salomon District bindings are compatible with standard 4x4 and 2-hole mounting patterns, as well as the Channel system found on Burton boards. Just ensure you have the correct mounting discs included in the box for your specific board setup.
