Harris Bed Bug Killer is made from food-grade diatomaceous earth, which is generally considered non-toxic. However, you should avoid breathing in the dust during application and keep pets and children away from the treated areas until the powder has settled.

Focus on the places where bed bugs hide during the day. Use the puffer applicator to target cracks, crevices, mattress seams, bed frames, and behind baseboards. Avoid applying it to surfaces where you will be directly touching or sleeping.

As long as the powder stays dry, it remains effective indefinitely. If the area becomes wet or damp, the powder loses its ability to dehydrate pests and will need to be cleaned up and reapplied.
