While it is designed as a directional freeride board, the Howler is built for freestyle performance, too. Its hybrid camber profile provides the pop and stability needed to stomp big airs, making it a capable choice if you want to mix technical freeriding with park features.

The medium 3D contour base helps smooth out turn initiation by slightly lifting the edges at the contact points. This makes the board feel less catchy and more fluid when you are transitioning from edge to edge, especially in variable snow conditions.

If you have average-sized feet, you might find the extra width requires a bit more effort to initiate turns compared to a standard-width board. However, the increased surface area provides excellent float in powder and added stability at high speeds.

A low taper means the tail is only slightly narrower than the nose, which keeps the board feeling balanced and predictable. It offers the float benefits of a directional shape without making the board feel too 'surfy' or loose when you are riding switch or landing jumps.

The High Power Camber is designed for stability and edge hold, which demands a bit more precision than a rocker or flat profile. If you are an intermediate rider looking to progress into steeper, more technical terrain, this board will reward your technique, but it won't hide mistakes as easily as a softer, more forgiving deck.
