Unlike porous pumice stones or abrasive emery boards, this rasp uses stainless steel micro-grates to shave away dead skin rather than sanding it down. This method is generally more efficient for thick, stubborn calluses and provides a smoother finish with less effort.

For the best results and safety, use this tool on clean, dry skin. Using it on wet skin can make it difficult to gauge how much callus you are removing and may lead to over-filing.

The tool features over 200 safety-edged micro grates designed to catch and remove dead skin cells without slicing into healthy tissue. However, you should always use light, gentle pressure and avoid applying it to broken, irritated, or sensitive skin.

After each use, rinse the rasp under warm water to remove skin debris. You can use a soft brush to clear any remaining particles from the grates, then dry it thoroughly before storing it to maintain the integrity of the stainless steel.
