These grips are specifically sized for junior tennis rackets. While they might technically wrap around an adult handle, the length is optimized for smaller frames and may not provide full coverage on a standard adult grip.

The dampener is designed to be pressed directly into the strings of the racket. It sits between the main strings, usually near the bottom of the string bed, to absorb shock upon impact.

Applying overgrip tape requires a bit of dexterity and patience to get the overlap consistent. While older children might manage it, we recommend a parent or coach help with the initial application to ensure it stays secure and comfortable.

The primary function of the dampener is to reduce string vibration and dampen the sound of the ball hitting the strings. It does not significantly alter the performance or power of the racket, but it does make the hitting experience feel smoother and more comfortable for young players.

You should replace the overgrip once it loses its tackiness or starts to show signs of wear, such as fraying or smoothing out. For kids playing regularly, this is typically every few weeks to ensure they maintain a secure, non-slip hold.
