G5 Montec Carbon Steel Broadheads

The Montec is a true one-piece, fixed-blade broadhead. It uses metal injection molding to create a single, solid unit, which means there are no blades to replace, screws to lose, or moving parts to fail in the field.

Because they are made from carbon steel, they are relatively easy to sharpen. You can use a flat stone or a dedicated broadhead sharpener to restore the edge, making them a great option for hunters who prefer to maintain their own gear rather than replace blades.

Since every Montec broadhead is spin-tested at the factory for flight consistency, they typically fly very similarly to field points. However, you should always shoot a few test groups to ensure your bow is properly tuned to your specific arrow setup.

These broadheads feature a 1.0625-inch cutting diameter. While some hunters prefer larger mechanical heads, the fixed-blade, cut-on-contact design of the Montec is widely trusted for its deep penetration and reliability on big game.

You can use them for practice, but keep in mind that shooting them into dense target materials will dull the edges quickly. Because they are easily re-sharpenable, you can practice with them and then hone them back to a razor edge before you head out to hunt.
