While the Shryke is designed for distance, its speed rating of 13 makes it quite demanding. It is generally better suited for advanced players or those with significant arm speed, though intermediate players may find it manageable for specific long-distance shots.

Halo Star plastic is typically stiffer and slightly more overstable than standard Star plastic. This added rigidity often provides a bit more torque resistance, which helps the disc hold its line better during high-speed throws.

The Shryke features a high-speed understability, meaning it will turn over slightly when thrown hard, followed by a long, gliding flight and a reliable, gentle fade at the end. This combination creates a helix-like flight path that maximizes distance.

Because of its understable nature, the Shryke excels in tailwind conditions where it can stay in the air longer. However, it can be unpredictable in strong headwinds, where it may turn over too aggressively.

A glide rating of 6 is exceptionally high, meaning the disc is designed to stay airborne longer than average. This helps you achieve greater distance without needing to increase your throw speed, provided you can get the disc up to its required velocity.
