The squash tail adds a pivoty, responsive feel that a rounded or pin tail lacks. It allows for tighter turns and quicker transitions, making the board feel more maneuverable and less like a traditional 'cruiser' mid-length.

While the relaxed nose rocker makes paddling and catching waves very forgiving, the leaner rail profile is designed for control in larger surf. It is a great step-up board for an intermediate surfer looking to transition from a longboard to something more performance-oriented.

Use the quad setup if you want more speed and drive in faster, hollower waves. The 2+1 configuration is better suited for smaller, mushier days when you want that classic, drawn-out feel and smoother rail-to-rail transitions.

Torq’s Epoxy Composite (TEC) construction is significantly more durable than standard polyurethane boards. It uses a high-density EPS core and a robust epoxy layup, meaning it resists pressure dings and cracks much better during travel and daily use.
