This specific model is engineered exclusively for Tokyo Marui 1911A1 gas blowback platforms. We do not recommend attempting to install it on other models, as the tolerances and fitment may differ significantly.

Installation is straightforward and generally requires standard tools like a small screwdriver or punch set, similar to removing the stock magazine catch. If you are comfortable with basic airsoft maintenance, you should be able to swap it out without professional assistance.

While stainless steel is denser than the stock pot-metal components often found in airsoft pistols, the weight difference is negligible in the context of the entire firearm. The primary benefit here is the increased durability and tactile feedback rather than any significant change in balance.

The texturing is designed to provide a secure grip for your thumb during reloads, not to abrade your fingers. Because it is crafted from durable stainless steel, the texture will hold its shape and grip much longer than standard aluminum or zinc alloy parts.

This is designed as a drop-in replacement for the Tokyo Marui 1911A1. However, due to slight variances in manufacturing tolerances across different airsoft production runs, you may occasionally need to perform minor fitting if the catch feels too tight or loose.
