A half-link chain allows you to adjust your rear wheel position in much smaller increments compared to a standard chain. This is essential for dialing in the perfect chain tension on BMX bikes with horizontal dropouts, ensuring your wheel is exactly where you want it.

This chain is specifically designed for 1/8-inch drivetrains, which is the standard for most BMX bikes. It is not compatible with multi-speed bikes or narrower chains used on road or mountain bikes.

Solid pins are generally heavier but offer superior strength and durability against the high-impact forces of street and park riding. If you prioritize longevity and resistance to snapping over saving a few grams of weight, solid pins are the better choice.

The chain comes with 102 links, which is sufficient for almost all BMX setups. You will likely need a chain breaker tool to remove excess links to achieve the correct length for your specific gear ratio.
