The UltaMid Insert is specifically engineered to fit the dimensions and geometry of the UltaMid 4. While it might physically fit under other pyramid shelters, we recommend using it only with the UltaMid 4 to ensure proper tension, coverage, and structural integrity.

The insert itself does not require poles for structural support, but it must be suspended from the center pole of your UltaMid 4 shelter. It is not a freestanding tent, so it relies entirely on the main shelter's setup.

The floor is constructed from Dyneema Composite Fabric, which is highly waterproof and durable. The bathtub-style design features raised edges that create a secure barrier against ground moisture and splash-back during heavy rain.

Yes, adding this insert creates a double-walled system. By separating your sleeping area from the outer fly with breathable No-See-Um mesh, you significantly reduce the chance of condensation dripping onto your gear or sleeping bag.

With 70 square feet of floor space, the insert provides ample room for four people. However, keep in mind that this is a lightweight backcountry shelter, so four occupants will be sleeping in close proximity.
